Time to play catch up on Alexios. These photos are from two days ago when Deb was out with the horses. As usual, Anastacia and Alexios were let out to graze for awhile. Something happened in Alexios' head and he decided that he needed to do fierce battle with a weed.
First he had to take time to assess the strength of his opponent.
And carefully inspect any potential weaknesses.
Then the moment arrive - time to declare war!
Fierce Alexios quickly gained the upper hoof.
Though the rascally weed proved to be quite stealthy, slipping easily from his grasp.
This called for renewed vigor.
He quickly subdued the weed once more.
He pawed the ground to show his might as a stallion.
The weed recognized the futility of continuing to resist.
Alexios, the fine and mighty warrior had bent it to his will.
And then, with great aplomb, he put the weed out of its misery.
Once Alexios had departed to take his victory lap, mom had to investigate what all the fuss had been about.
Her triumphant young stallion soon came charging back to be admired for his prowess.
Anastacia was not too terribly impressed though he tried to convince her that he was returning from a mighty battle.
Never mind. He knew that this day, he was a hero.
