These photos are all ones that Deb has taken and sent to me so that I can participate in the first few days of our new baby's life. I will be in Boston until March 17th, so it has really made the difference for me to see how the little guy is doing.
Deb is whispering to the little one, letting him know that he is a cherished new member of the family. Either that or she's singing a lullaby.
Anastacia and Alexios are separated from the other horses at the moment so that they can have the chance to bond.
Alexios seems to be endlessly curious, wanting to know all about these things that are in his world. He hasn't sampled water yet but did discover it's a very interesting thing to play with.
He is never far from momma though, or maybe it is that momma is never far from him.
He really wanted to know why Anastacia was so intent on whatever it was that round, black thing contained.
Our guy is quite the character, it seems. From a text message Deb sent to me today - "Got mad at the hay cause he wanted it to be good and it wasn't - so he laid back his ears and jumped on it and ran through it twice." Yep, he is going to be a handful!
His neck is not yet long enough for his legs.
He seems to be wondering if there is anyone over there who wants to be his friend.
Deb says that he is making noises but not anything that can be called a neigh - yet.
After exploring, and frolicking, it's time for the little one to take a nap. The shed seems to be his favorite place to sleep.
