The skies have been threatening rain all day, and I've had to work so there was only time for a quick run out to the horses to feed and water. This meant that there would not be time for any Alexios lessons. Instead, he got to spend a little time just hanging out in front of the camera.
He can be a bit of ham, perhaps a by product of so much attention being paid to him while his humans hold funny things in front of their faces.
Now that he's gotten a little older, it seems he seeks out the company of the other horses when possible. He knows to be cautious when approaching Favorito.
Once it's been established that his presence is not unwelcome, he quickly busies himself with grazing.
He looks pleased to be in such studly company.
It seems to wear off on him and he just has to have a baby stallion moment.
One really can't begrudge him as he is so pretty when he's prancing.
He soon got it out of his system and joined his momma. Anastacia is still the bedrock of his world and though he has started to explore a little more he always makes sure she is not too far out of reach.
He has started to shed some of his baby coat around his eyes. It is giving him a bit of a raccoon look but also starting to show the color he may be once he matures a little.
This shot shows it from a little different angle. He may just turn out to be a lot more like his Daddy than we realized.
We're hoping that the weather will be more cooperative tomorrow so that we'll be able to spend the afternoon working with him.
